"8 Flick" - New from experimental Super-8 project!
"8 Flick" is part of a new experimental series of short and rather raw films created using vintage Super 8 film cameras. The film clips, transferred to digital files are then edited and enhanced with sound added.
I love the quality of film shot on super 8 film stock and am further intrigued with seeing how far this already great grainy and glitchy imagery can be pushed electronically. Pairing this imagery with electronically created music feels like a natural match!! Sound is by B-Complex (aka Matus Lenicky from Bratislava, Slovakia.) The track is " Black Eternity". A selection of three experimental shorts using digital deconstruction and layered processing to create captivating animation-like videos. Each is sourced from a still photograph and extensively altered through multiple cycling frames, applied layers and textures forming the completed video. The first two clips feature soundtracks by acclaimed Berlin based electronic music composer Hanne Adam, adamned-age. The third, "T H R E A T", features an original electronic composition by the director.
